According to announcement, at the time of opening AppStore will have more than 4000 products available. Of course not all of them will be paid.
But there’s still other unsolved problem: iPhone’s memory size reserved for OS. On a “clean” phone it’s not that much – around 30 Mb. No way you can put all that stuff in there. So, you’ll have to jailbrake the phone and make simlinks with the Terminal.
Update by Vlade: The programs and games from AppStore will be downloaded to Media section.
BioWare company, the developer of Mass Effect for XBOX 360 is considering signing a contract for developing the game for iPhone. As the developers told MTV during the interview, the iPhone is a platform with unlimited possibilities and big future.
So, more game industry giants such as Electronic Arts and UbiSoft are declaring their plans for iPhone.
And while they’re discussing all this, watch the game trailer:

Gizmodo reports that all registered developers will probably receive iPhone Golden Master this Friday.
iPhone 2.0 Golden Master – is a final version of 2.0, that will be officially released for all iPhone and iTouch users in the beginning of July.
We can expect the images of the final version to be available over the web on Saturday. We’ll be able to try them then.
Stay tuned!!!

During the presentation of the new iPhone’s functions, the device was lit the way we could see something that resembles a camera (read more…)

If Steve Jobs finally decides to sell iPhone 3G in Russia, then with certain surety we can assume that Megafon will be the one selling it.
Right after the presentation of iPhone 3G on WWDC’08, an article about “TelieSonera”, one of partner operators of Apple, appeared on Apple Inc. website. Here is what it says:
TeliaSonera provides telecommunication services in the Nordic and Baltic countries, in Spain and the emerging markets of Eurasia, including Russia and Turkey.
Bingo!:
1. “TeliaSonera” already has an active contract with Apple Inc.;
2. Megafon’s shareholders are: 35,6% – “TeliaSonera”, 31,4% – “Telecominvest”, 25,1% – “Alfa-group”, and “AF telecom holding” – 8%.
Using simple logical skills, we can assume that Megafon of all others will be the operator with the rights to sell iPhone in Russia.
This proves earlier rumors.

Am I the only one who sees that lower back plastic cover of antenna section is black???
Boloney! I could trust the picture if it was white, but it is not – obviously a fake.

Tonight CrunchGear website posted another photograph of iPhone3G, taken from yet unpublished advertisement.
The source is considerably reliable, because they have published true photographs of iPod Nano before.
So, there was only one picture:
Continuing today’s rumors caravan. There’s gonna more of them today than usually.
Yesterday night, the famous iLounge.com has published photographs of 2 touch-screens that they acquired from Host Optical, iPhone components provider.

As you can see, one of them is 3.2″, and the other 2.8″. What is it? iPhone Nano?
thx to swissglide for patience and understanding.
MacTalk.com.au informs that yesterday Australian reselles have received a parcel from Apple Inc.

The label says:
SUBJECT TO TERMS OF NDA
DO NOT OPEN UNTIL TUESDAY JUNE 10TH, 2008
So, it’s prohibited to open it until June 10th. When Steve will be speaking at WWDC, it will be June 10th in Australia.
What’s inside, I wonder?

Now Forbes magazine joined the mass discussion about Apple’s new product. And not just in words, they’ve also sent their reporters to warehouses of Quanta Computer company, which, by Cupertino order, assembles some of Apple’s computers and iPhones.
The mission was successful. Journalists, upon their arriving to the warehouse, saw some very teeming activity. There were tons of boxes – some of them were easily recognized as iMac’s boxes and the rest didn’t have any identification signs (read more…)
One of our readers, Gizmodo, has found iPhone and iTouch icons in Leopard’s CoreBundle in recent system upgrade to version 10.5.3.

How does it relate to wireless synchronization, you ask? The thing is that all devices, found in Resources folder (computers and laptops) can be connected through Bonjour, local automated network protocol from Apple. This leads us to conclusion, that Apple gadgets may receive the official Bonjour support, which later on will lead to the possibility of their wireless synchronization with Macs.
