There’s an iPod Touch advertised in the first part of the clip. Apple makes accent not on the music content, but on AppStore games that can be downloaded and played. The second part describes a variety of iPod Touch colors available to choose from.

A lot of people want to now, will be the monstrous Worms:Armrageddon ever ported to iPhone. Here’s some information about this cult game perspectives.
There are only two developers left, who are working under Worms project – their names are Deadcode and CyberShadow. The last one is living in Kishenev, Moldova, he also enjoys playing Worms and likes to modify the game’s code in order to improve it.
We have communicated CyberShadow and asked him, if it’s possible to port Worms game to iPhone platform. The developer said the following.
Unfortunately, this project can’t be realized because we have only heavily restricted rights to make changes in game. The only thing we can do is making updates for Windows-based game version – everything else is in Team 17 competence.
They say, Team 17 is making new Worms game at the moment, and the iPhone version is also expected. So I don’t think that the Worms:Armageddon port-project will be appreciated by Team 17 as commercially successful. Anyway, I advice you to contact Team 17 director Martyn “Spadge” Brown.
We must also mention another Worms clone named HedgeWars ( http://www.hedgewars.org/ ), that is being developed by Russian team. They plan to issue the commercial version of the game for iPhone platform, but Team 17 already claimed them for copyright violation.
As we can see, the only sticking point is Team 17. If they will consider to do so, the new Worms game port will appear in AppStore before the Christmas.
Our special thanks to Eugeny Reshetov.

The idea with posting photos with girls and iPhones was just the thing that this blog was lack of. A lots of comments on Russian-oriented blog (iphones.ru) made SeaBreeze to switch off the comments – there were too much professionals there, who were the only ones to new, how to set the light, camera and models in the studio.
The next photo is presented by Vladimir Kalinin (www.vladimirkalinin.ru), the professional photographer and iPhone fan.

Another one, that he have just sent us is a little bit provoking, so we’ll publish it a little bit later, to high up your Monday mood (smile).

The only thing that SeaBreeze dreamed of was the ambition to create images with iPhone and girls pictured together. This idea could be tombstoned in his dreams, but Zerto helped to find a studio, and our lovely forum girls made all the available efforts to get there at the end of the Friday. Every day some new pictures will be published.

iPhone Girl Series.

The iPhone, demonstrated in the following video was put in the extreme conditions – it was tested by cold, washing machine, vacuum cleaner, it was dropped a number of times, sank in beer, overridden by car… It was superior and overcome all of this kill-a-phone factors. See the video for details.
Let’s continue discussing cars, remotly controlled from iPhone. Oh yes, just toy cars at the moment – there are no any daredevils except Mythbusters who are ready to trust control of their car to a small distant control device.
But the first step had been made. Jozef Pruiza from Czech created an electronic scheme, that allows to control a toy car remotely using iPhone application.
You can control you car moving your thumb in a coordinate system, designated on the iPhone screen.

Well, we failed to find something similar made in Russia, but came across with a an app, that can get us familiar with the Road Rules in Russian language.

On 28th of August the American Patent Bureau had published a patent number 20080204426. Remember this number, probably in a year or two this patent number will become legendary. On all of the 52 pages of this patent there’s a description of censor display computer, supporting multitouch technology.

All the pictures are clickable.
As we consider, the main idea of this technology is an ability to work with sensor display using combinations of simultaneous touches.
As you have already understood, the patent is registered to “one fruit company”, based in California, US.
Yes, we know, that there should be a lot of time to go until we’ll enjoy seeing the first real prototype, but on 28th of August Apple Company presented a new dream-machine to hundreds of Mac- and iPhone- users. And it really worths waiting for that device – it should be something incredible!

The iPhone maniacs are making the best to do something else with an iPhone to demonstrate it’s. Guys from this clip are covering the iPhone with a superdurable film and putting a number of heavyweights on it. Very impressive performance…
And here you can see a some kind of underwater iPhone.
And, of course, pop-corning iPhone into pieces!!!
Apple recently published three new iPhone advertising movie clips. There’s nothing extraordinary in them – just the ability to by new applications in Apple App Store with ease. The target customer is a not owner of iPhone or just a non App Store visitor.
The scenarios are the same and differs only by the programs, shown in App Store.
Here’s one of the bunch:

Recently I had read some strange comments to the news about games. I wonder, don’t you like playing games on your favourite device that much? Or you want something more significant? I like gaming. I play PC games as well as iPhone. I spend a lot of time playing games in the subway, at home, on vacation. Actually anywhere, anytime, whenever it’s possible.
Currently AppStore has some 510 games (by the time I am writing this article). Nearly half of them aren’t even worth mentioning (you can easily pick up examples of them yourself). But those that have entered the Top-100 Paid and Free are indeed interesting.
But that’s not what I am talking about right now. I’d like to know: What games would you like to play on iPhone?
PocketGamer site had recently run a poll and presented top 10 of most desirable games and genres. To be or not to be - we are not to decide that.

1. Of course, first person shooters. The Internet is full of rumours of the upcoming Quake, Wolfenstein and Doom ports for iPhone. But those are just rumours. Some people even say that we’ll have RPG instead of shooters. So far we could only “enjoy” the Quake port.

2. Brain enhancers. One of such can be found on the AppStore. It costs $9.99 and is called Brain Challenge by GameLoft. It is ranked 35th in Top Paid Apps.

3. It can sound weirdly, but people would like to have the port of Phoenix Wright by Capcom. Honestly, I have learned about this game only by the time I have begun working on this article. But now I too hold with those who wish there were an iPhone port. Originally, a Nintendo DS game, it’s a mix of a detective story and a puzzle game. Interesting.

4. Football management. Two years ago I was into this kind of games, but since then I became bored of them. However, there are still many fans of this genre out there.
5. More Sudoku games. Who needs more Sudokus, anyways?! AppStore has over 3 dozens.

6. Space sims. Unlimited opportunities for creativity. We already have seen a game of this genre - Solar Quest. What if we go more creative? A vast universe for ultimate on-line gaming experience. Sounds interesting, isn’t it?

7. Reset Generation. Yes, people request this N-Gage best-seller to be ported to their iPhones. I don’t expect any problems with that, since we already have many Nintendo DS and Nokia N-Gage ports.

8. Hidden object. That’s an exact definition of a genre popular among housewives. Simple and disposable.

9. Scrabble - same as no. 5.
10. And finally, the SimCity and Civilization clones. That’s a real classic in game industry. Each platform needs this kind of game, simply out of respect.
I would add this list by my personal request. I would like to see some nice old-school RPGs like Fallout or Diablo. Until then all we can do is dreaming…
So, it’s about time I’ve told you a terryfying story about the evil Roaming and holy Beeline.
Until now I had no idea why iPhone has a button that says “Turn off the EDGE-roaming”. But now I got enlightened. For one week in Croatia I didn’t switch EDGE roaming on, but then I used EDGE to read some news. And then I came back to Moscow…

On the 1st of August my iPhone has switched off. I called the Beeline. The girl on the phone tells me: Insufficient funds. I say: but I have a credit-based pay-system. She replies: Whatever, there is a limit. You to pay a certain sum in advance. I ask: How many? And then she says: 30 thousands rubles (~$1300).
I turn like f
**g mad and write a post - I have been a Beeline’s client for nearly 10 years, never delayed payments in a while, never switched between plans. There are no customers like me! And you’re talking about some crappy 30 thousands! And immediately I got a response from a girl from Beeline’s press service. She tells me - we’ll deal with this issue.
The same day I get a call from Beeline. They tell me - you indeed are so invaluable. You really didn’t delay any payment in 10 years. Such a loyal customer is great. I say: “Absolutely”. The girl tells me - we’re checking our billing systems, we’re likely to have some problems with it. I ask her: What’s all that fuzz about the limits? The girl replies: customers like you have a limit of credits equal to 10 average payments. I ask her - so what? And she’s like - you have an average payment of 8 thousand rubles. I say - so what? And she says - and your bill for July is 92 thousand rubles.
I ask her: HOW MUCH?!
She says: 92 THOUSANDS RUBLES. But we’ll check things out.
After that I immediately call the customer’s service and ask: How much is EDGE roaming in Croatia? And here I get an answer - EDGE roaming costs 25 rubles pro 50 kilobytes regardless of your location.
That gets me really f
**g mad. Immediately I realised, WHY does iPhone has a button to switch EDGE-roaming off.
Because ANY action, ANY link, ANY new feed in Google Reader costs 25 rubles regardless of how many you have downloaded - a kilobyte, two or even thirty. Have you ever seen a feed in 50 kb? Me - not. But the traffic is being measured in 50 kbs. Who thought that was a good idea? I don’t know, but certainly he doesn’t deserve living.
And that was when I realised that I was pretty much screwed. I have a nice salary, but 92 thousands rubles - this is exactly how much the WHOLE trip to Croatia costs, not taking into account what has been actually spent in
Croatia. That’s, holy ####, is 4 THOUSAND DOLLARS!
But Beeline has actually served me well - the didn’t leave me alone in this situation. They have called me another day and said, that because I am that wonderful, the make a discount for me like 20%. And the right to pay by installments.
And my new bill was like 72 thousand rubles. And I had a right to pay by installments. So the things turned out to be far less scary.
But, holy shit, measuring mobile Internet traffic in 50 kbs is f
g stupid.
It’s like measuring calls with 15 minutes. Or with half an hour. And that would be 10 dollars.
You make a call - 10 dollars, please.
That’s what it’s like with Internet roaming. Like in a Moscow restaurant. You see nice prices, you make orders and ask for some water in meanwhile. You get a golden bottle with Japanese water that they make from melted Fuji’s snow. That would cost 800 rubles. And they open it, so you can’t refuse.
I want everybody to realise all this! Hear you, people - YOU CAN’T USE INTERNET IN ROAMING! YOU SIMPLY CAN’T!
There’s no a secret that every new mobile phone owner have a good chance to find a greeting from assembly line or sales personal inside your new handy. Usually these are the chaotic and blurred test-shots, but now we’ve came across with a totally different situation.

This Chinese girl had made some good shots using a iPhone 3G. They are really nice - most of the bloggers think she’s a cute one. But there is a problem – these photos were found in a brand new iPhone sold in Great Britain. By the way, one of these pictures were set as a lock-screen wallpaper.

Does anybody knows who is that girl on photos? Was she fired from assembly plant or not?

In the middle of Domodedovo airport there is a red MTS stand where you can charge your phone. Each brand has its own charger. It was great to see the iPhone charger there. But it wasn’t powered.

On my way to the departure lounge I heard someone calling me: “SeaBreeze! We’ve transferred you some money for the advertisement…”, I turned around a saw a completely unfamiliar face:
- Who are you anyway?
- I’m from the forum, my nickname is…
- How did you recognuze me? Were you following me?
- Nope, just knew how you look because of your avatar.
And I understood that iphones.ru is with me even offline.

Lately I found some inadequate comments to the news about games for iPhone. It puzzles me: do you not like to play any games on your favorite device? Or maybe you want something more? I love playing. I love playing on PC and iPhone and I spend a lot of time doing it on tube, at work, at home, and on vacations. Everywhere when I have time for it.
At the moment there are 510 games at AppStore (as I’m writing). Roughly half of them doesn’t deserve any attention, you can only scare kids with them (I won’t give any examples, you can find them yourselves). But the ones that made it to the top-100 paid and free deserve to be looked at closely.
But for now, I don’t want to focus on that, I just wanted to ask what games do you want to see on iPhone??? (read more…)
In the center of Domodedovo one can find a big MTS station, where you can charge your phone’s battery. Each brand has its own socket. Surprisingly, there was also a socket for an iPod for charging iPhone. However there was no voltage there.

On my way to arrival hall I heard the voice calling: “SeaBreeze! We have sent you the many for that ad…” Quite amazed, I turn around to see the unknown face.
- Who are you?
- I am from the forum, my nick is N…
- How did you know that was me? Did you follow me or something?
- No, I simply remember you avatar on the forum.
I realise now, that the site is bound to me even in my real life.
Recently I told you about our old friend Tris.
The game is surely of good quality and very exciting. But after I played it today, I accidentally viewed the About section and this made me laugh:

How did Apple pass this, I wonder?
