Tonight, a big FAQ was put together.

So, if you accidentally upgraded to 2.0 and your phone is now a piece of brick, then it’s for you.

All steps are easy, you just need to follow the instructions.

P.S.: FAQ has been tested a lot. So we assure it’s fine.

Half an hour ago, DevTeam has published 3 screenshots, showing that App Store programs work fine on jail-broken iPhone 2.0.

Each of you struggled with adding RP, Kate or SP by Darkman to custom firmware image. Right?

I’ve come to think of it and found a solution.

Just add http://gpda.ru/r/index.xml repository, install WinPWN Kate Fix and WinPWN RiPInstall Fix and add them to firmware.

This way, everything will work right away. And if you already have custom firmware, just install the programs over.

P.S.: I’ll also change gpda.ru/r/index.xml to gpda.ru/r today. I’ll add a package for SP by Darkman (same as the existing ones for Kate and RP), moreover, I’ll think about iPhysics and russification by rus-iphone.com.
What else doesn’t fit into custom firmware? Let’s make it work.

P.P.S.: For those who like to move everything to media, the above-mentioned repository has 3 ways of sowtware, wallpapers and ringtones transfer. You can either install directly on your phone, or include in custom firmware.

German craftsmen have completely re-worked iPhone interface and almost made it look like Mac OS X 10.5.

A lot of time passed since first iPhone came out. A lot of articles were written about the battery, its weakness and short-term “life”. Recently, I’ve noticed that my iPhone’s battery lasts about half of day (music and movies on my way to work, frequent calls, sms, etc.) So, I suddenly found myself in need of a car charger or multiple additional chargers. As I thought of always carrying around a charger, I realized that there was other way.

So, I bought and installed a 1400 mAh battery, and now my iPhone works without charging for 2 days. As a reminder – standard iPhone battery is 900 mAh.

The whole procedure took about half an hour and wasn’t difficult at all.

P.S.: I do not recommend to do this with a new device, since standard battery works fine during first six months of usage. I also remind you of external power sources, there are a lot of them on the market today. But all these are not for me – I personally think that it’s no good to screw the looks by putting the iPhone in some case with EPS, which could also damage you phone.
