Lately I found some inadequate comments to the news about games for iPhone. It puzzles me: do you not like to play any games on your favorite device? Or maybe you want something more? I love playing. I love playing on PC and iPhone and I spend a lot of time doing it on tube, at work, at home, and on vacations. Everywhere when I have time for it.
At the moment there are 510 games at AppStore (as I’m writing). Roughly half of them doesn’t deserve any attention, you can only scare kids with them (I won’t give any examples, you can find them yourselves). But the ones that made it to the top-100 paid and free deserve to be looked at closely.
But for now, I don’t want to focus on that, I just wanted to ask what games do you want to see on iPhone???
PocketGamer website has conducted a poll and published a list of top-10 most interesting games and genres. Will they ever exist for iPhone or not is not for us to decide.

1. First-person shooters. Internet is full of rumors about upcoming Doom and Wolfenstein for iPhone. Someone has even mentioned they will be RPGs. By now, we’ve only “enjoyed” Quake.

2. Brain-stretchers. One of them is present at AppStore for $9.99 – Brain Challenge by GameLoft, and it’s 35st on Top Paid Apps list.

3. Strange, but the public demands Phoenix Wright by Capcom. To be honest, I didn’t know about this game before I wrote this article. And now I myself would like to see it ported from Nintendo DS to iPhone. For those who have no clue it’s a mix of investigation and logic. Interesting.

4. Football manager. A couple of years ago I was interested in this genre, but then I got bored. Anyhow, there are some people who still like this.
5. More Sudoku games. What for? There are more than three dozens of them at AppStore.

6. Space simulators. Here the sky is the limit. We’ve seen a very good realization of this genre in Solar Quest. What if the go further? Make a huge universe with on-line players. I think it would be great.

7. Reset Generation. Yes, the public demands the hit game from N-Gage platform. I don’t think there will be any problems with this, since many games got to iPhone from Nintendo DS and Nokia platforms.

8. Hidden object. That’s what this type of game so popular among the housewives is called. Simple one-timers.

9. Scrabble – same as number 5.

10. SimCity and Civilization style games finish off the top-10. They are game classics. The presence of such games is vital on any platform, just considering their “old age”.
I personally would like to see in the first place some good RPG, something like Fallout or Diablo. And for now all we can do is keep dreaming…
