Surprisingly, using 2 iPhones, a laptop and Lego NXT Robotics Kit you can make a pretty pacey robot.
You just need to construct a robot using Lego pieces, write a Java LeJOS Robot script, write a web-app using Google Web Toolkit and finally connect the iPhone.
As you can see, the control process is based on the ability of the light sensor to detect different shades of grey.
You can make one of your own using the manual from the BattleBricks.
