Future killer-low price of iPhone 3G has killed the existing iPhones’ prices. Those who hurried to get rid of first generation iPhones were too hasty: in USA the shelves are empty, and stakes for GSM-version on eBay are skyrocketing. You can now buy it for $600, instead of regular price of $500.
The Americans are ready to overpay, needless to speak of Russians. During first week, iPhone’s price grew by 1500 Rubles. In the forum topic “Buy and sell unused iPhones” the 8Gb model now costs 18000 Rubles (as in Fall 2007)
Apple is certainly pushing the limits of people’s wants. Will we see the lines and people people sleeping on the sidewalk in 5th Avenue the night before the sales start again?
